Lake and Mchenry
counties are situated in
northeastern Illinois, with Lake Michigan to the east, Wisconsin to the
north and the City of Chicago to the south. Both counties include picturesque rural communities, highly developed urban centers,
wealthy suburbs and tourist communities. Lake and Mchenry County Fire and
Rescue services continue to be a model for much of the mid west due to
their exceptional cooperation and readiness.
